Watch out where the huskies go…
December 23: Sled

This is some kind of sled.
Rating
Fun ★★☆☆☆
This is not what I was expecting for Day 23. I guess a sled is fun, even though we just had a Cyclops-drawn Toboggan. It looks like a dog sled to me (not that I’m an expert on such things) like in the style of the sleds they use in the Iditarod. It might have been more fun if there was an obvious way to connect the dog to it.
Ease of Build ★★★★☆
Clocking in at 8 parts, with two of them being machetes, we were able to get through the build process without issue.
Comprehensibility ★★☆☆☆
Again, I think I understand what it is, but don’t really understand why. This is definitely not a traditional Santa sleigh. Unless there’s an Inuit version of Santa, which is entirely possible. I feel like if this were going to be useful, there would need to be a lot more dogs, and some way to connect them. It irritates me that the bottom of the sled is below the blades. Also, it kind of freaks me out that the blades are clearly made of swords. They’re not even “normal” swords…they’re like hooked machetes, or the swords used by orcs in The Lord of the Rings. If you do need to settle a dispute in single combat, I guess it’s good that you can just snap them off and go to town though.
Extra Parts ☆☆☆☆☆
The sled came with zero extra parts.
Overall ★★☆☆☆
We’re a little late in the game to be building out an entire dog sled team, and I think this is going to have to remain as a largely ornamental sled unless the family dog is really jacked under that sweater. If this is an elaborate scheme to sneak a couple machetes through security under a “ceremonial object” loophole, I’m putting my money on Mrs. Claus. She looks pretty wily with a machete.
